Rental Boat Waivers and Temp License
We MUST have a signed waiver for each passenger on your rental (even children and infants).
The operator MUST have a NASBLA Boater's Safety Card, OR have completed the "Dockside Safety Checklist" on the VADWR website.
Both of these things MUST be done prior to your arrival. We CANNOT let you take the boat unless this paperwork is complete. If you have to complete this when you arrive, that will come out of your rental time. No refunds will be given if you are unable to complete these requirements.

Temporary Boater's License
If you DO NOT have a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) Boater’s Safety Card, You MUST complete the dockside safety checklist on the VADWR website, to operate our rental boats.
THIS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK-IN ARRIVAL. (It takes 20 mins to obtain the temporary boaters license to operate our rentals).

3. Click "make a purchase" (upper left-hand box) (There is no cost, but you have to go thru the "checkout" procedure)
4. Scroll down to "Miscellaneous"
5. Select "Rental Boat/PWC - Dockside Safety Checklist" add to cart and check out (there is no fee for the checklist)
6. You will need to enter our information in the checklist:

7. After completing the checklist, you will receive an email from VADWR that will serve as your license to operate our rental boats. You will need to present that confirmation during check in along with a photo ID, and have it available if you are stopped during the rental.
